The X6 is Nokia s new Symbian based Smartphone with ComesWithMusic integration. The phone has 32GB of internal memory for all of your storage needs and it shows off a flamboyant 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen which is one of the brightest and clearest in its class. The X6 has a digital camera, a built-in FM Radio receiver and a music player to rival Sony Ericsson s best!
The phone comes very well supported with the Nokia Music Store and a ranged Ovi package including the Ovi Store which is home to tons of additional applications, themes and wallpapers. Most importantly with the X6 is the ComesWithMusic store, this enables access to an unlimited choice of songs from your favourite artists and bands absolutely free, these can be stored on your phone or your PC and the store is constantly updated with the latest chart songs and new music alike. The digital music player itself is intuitive and designed for functionality, it has been given a designer look and the interface accurately sorts your tunes in to categories. There are a number of different equaliser options in place for the perfect sound and the player has been supported with an album graphics display. The phone can playback many different audio formats including mp3, SPMidi and WMA. To accompany the music player Nokia have added an FM Radio receiver.
As with all of today s Smartphone s the X6 is fully capable of social network management with dedicated clients for Facebook and Twitter. The home screen has a specialized Contacts Bar allowing for various communication options including social network connections, all of your status updates, messages and e-mails can be dealt with here and all incoming messages and updates from friends can be found here too, the Contacts Bar is a complete communications manager and its very handy for quick access to important contacts.
The X6 s digital camera is well equipped with a 5 mega pixel lens and an impressive set of Carl Ziess optics for added image clarity. It is very capable of image capture in most conditions with LED flash for low light conditions and auto focus to make simple snaps that much easier. Videos can be shot at 30fps in TV quality and there is a 4x digital zoom for close ups, there are also video share capabilities. With a variety of different video file types being playable and some at 30fps in nHD quality, the Nokia X6 has been gifted with an awesome Video player, all videos are playable in landscape mode with the use of the in-built accelerometer and they are displayed superbly through the 640 x 360 pixels in over 16.7million colours.
The phone comes with lots of connectivity; wireless net connections are made by the phones Wi Fi and 3G extensions and Bluetooth is in the package for wireless data transfer between compatible devices. The Ovi suite allows for PC synchronization and a TV out (PAL) has been thrown in for television connections.
With everything considered the Nokia X6 is an accomplished Smartphone with top-class entertainment features. The X6 is in direct competition with Sony Ericsson s Vivaz and both phones offer similar power and functionality but the X6 has a few colour choices to suit its user and with its online options and ComesWithMusic feature it could have the edge?
